SENATE CONFIRMS EMEFIELE AS CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR

We brought you a report earlier today that the duo of Mr.Godwin Emefiele and Adelabu Adebaya Adekola were to appear before the Senate today for screening following their appointments by President Goodluck Jonathan to the Position of Governor and Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,respectively.

Reports just reaching our desk indicates that the Senate has confirmed their appointments as the new helmsmen of the Apex bank.
Emefiele who until his appointment was the Managing Director of Zenith Bank was grilled for several hours by the Senators.
